Experience counts
Working as a PR and event photographer is both challenging and rewarding. With 20 years experience, I always bring with me, enthusiasm and a smile. More importantly, it’s also about timing. There’s only the one take and then the schedule moves on. So, it’s crucial to be in the right place at the right time as well as prepared. PR shoots can be just as intense and very occasionally, quite relaxed. Either way, there's no substitute for experience when it comes to PR and event photography.
My experience over the years is very broad. It includes corporate events, gala dinners, key speakers, award ceremonies, conferences, trade fairs and exhibitions. PR opportunities go much further than cheque presentations. For example, store openings, business mergers, sponsored events, charity fundraisers, VIP addresses and celebrity visits.
One of my clients is a nationwide firm of undertakers. They commission me to photograph some of their more unusual funerals, one of which has been a very rare civilan burial at sea.
Discretion and empathy
I understand the situations in which I'm asked to take photographs. I fully respect that some people present might not want to be included in any. If you're commissioning the photography, I'd urge you to give this a little thought well in advance of a shoot. People really appreciate knowing there'll be a photographer present. I'm always happy to help where I can.
Pricing
My rates are very competitive and start at just £200 + VAT. That'll cater for the first two hours of my time, which includes an element of travel time and mileage. You'll have an unlimited licence to use all the images you select. These can be delivered to you on the same day via ftp.
