Corporate Portraits - Professional Business Headshots

Everyone in business today needs good profile photography
Obviously, at some point, almost every organisation needs corporate portrait photography - professional business headshots.
Clearly, corporate headshots should be well lit and of a high quality, taken by a professional commercial photographer. This can be achieved both in the studio and at the clients' offices using a mobile studio.
Typically, such staff headshots are used for company websites in the 'about us' section, the 'who we are' section or in 'meet the team'. They're also often used for professional social media profiles such as Linked In, as well as for business proposals and client communiques. Some even end up on display in the living rooms of proud parents.

Defining the brief
Bennett Christmas is one such company. With headquarters in Burgess Hill, Sussex, they are a firm of independent insurance brokers. With new websites in development and due to go live early in 2018, they needed a variety of key personnel photography. Having been to the Exposure Photographer website and liking what she saw, the Marketing Manager got in touch.
Together with their design agency, we agreed a photography brief which would consist of two very different approaches. The test shoot, at their main business address, only confirmed our view that it wasn't suitable for this particular project. So, we got busy looking for alternative 'office' environments.
Staff headshots
The second aspect of the project would be studio based. It would involve photographing individual members of the team against a white background. These would be used to produce cutouts. The style would be full length, relaxed and looking to camera.

Careful not to scratch the Porsches
Incredibly, the local Porsche dealership made an offer for us to use their immaculate premises for one of the days. I must admit, that prompted me to double check my own insurance...just in case something unfortunate were to happen, I'd be covered. Reassuringly, the showroom staff didn't seem at all worried by me setting up numerous lights on stands and backing up my tripod to the latest model.
There were literally hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of shiny new sports cars in close proximity around us. The challenge was not only to keep them all unscratched but also to not include any in the photographs. However, we did manage it and only we know these shots were taken in a Porsche showroom. Right?. Seriously, a huge thank you to Porsche Centre Mid-Sussex for being so incredibly generous and accommodating.
