Business Event Photography and Video for SPACES

The Brief
Surprisingly, SPACES Brighton found me through the event services site, Poptop. The manager then got in touch and we agreed the approach for capturing the atmosphere and energy of the event.
This would be a challenging brief covering their business event photography and video as well as capturing a time lapse sequence. The photography would focus around the 300 or so guests having a great evening enjoying the hospitality and the venue.
The video footage would need to cater for two different edits. The first with its emphasis on the launch party and the guests, the second more to do with the guests interacting with the venue and showing more of the office spaces available. Finally, the time lapse would be of the street artist painting his colourful mural on a fifth floor wall over several hours.

A Bit About SPACES
SPACES is a fresh new take on Regus' long established model of providing flexible serviced office and working environments. The big difference with SPACES, though is that all the ground floor areas are communal. In the centre and within easy reach is Soul Deli, serving amazing coffee and healthy food inspired by dishes from all over the world. The decor is contemporary.
The floors above comprise glass sided offices of all proportions from small to large. There's even a roof terrace with a view to the sea and across the South Downs. This is the ideal environment for entrepreneurial start ups.

The Event
The Iron Boot Scrapers greeted the party goers with their entertaining and unique renditions of pop and rock classics. Guests mingled and roamed freely, sampling a continuous supply of delicious food including fresh oysters. There was even a plentiful supply of Pimms and prosecco on tap from a bicycle.
With hundreds of people in attendance, our cameras were soon busy picking out and capturing the best moments and expressions. All the way up on the 5th floor, the street artist was working hard with his paints. On the rooftop above, more live music was performed by acts such as Caitlin Moss and Salt Ashes.
Sadly by the time we'd packed away all the camera kit and backed up all the footage and photographs, the cold lager had all been drunk, as had everything else! You'd therefore conclude that the event was a real success.
