As an industrial photographer, I’m commissioned to produce eye catching and engaging images of all sorts of automated and manual processes and activities. However, this isn’t as straightforward as it may sound. I need to identify what will make great shots with often awkward subject matter and lighting. I may also have to work with and around production schedules, moving machinery and the unexpected.
It's sometimes best for me to come and recce the spaces I'll be photographing prior to the shoot. That way we can identify potential hazards and problems and agree how we'll deal with them in advance.
I originally studied production engineering before I retrained as a commercial photographer. I very much enjoy the challenges of photographing in industrial and manufacturing environments. I'm also comfortable in them. I carry my own PPE and adhere to all relevant Health and Safety requirements. I also carry full Public Liability Insurance.
